Dogviolet fuse post-punk grit, gothic atmosphere and folk-tinged melody into something intriguing and hard to look away from. Inspired by the natural world, botanical imagery is woven through their lyrics exploring social injustice, familial challenges and sapphic desire, set against dark sonic hues that feel both polished and raw. Founders Naz Toorabally and Ella Patenall met in their year 10 English class, beginning a creative partnership now over fifteen years deep. Dogviolet emerged in 2022, later joined by Lauren Allpress (drums) and Margot Cintract (bass).

Live, Dogviolet create an atmosphere that pulls the room into their world, the audience held by haunting harmonies, melodic hooks that won't let go, and left with the sense that something more than a gig just happened.
